Honey Balsamic Marinated Grilled Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 chicken breasts cut in half length wise
  • OR 2-3 POUNDS OF WINGS
  • 1/2 c extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 c balsamic vinegar
  • 2-3 Tbsp honey depends on how sweet you like it
  • 2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 3 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 c finely chopped sweet onion
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp basil
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/8- 1/4 tsp optional: cayenne pepper. use 1/8 for less spicy
  • 1/2 tsp white or black pepper
  • 1 tsp chicken boullion powder
  • SAUCE OPTIONAL
  • 3 Tbsp honey
  • 3 Tbsp balsamic vinegar

Directions:

1. Sliced chicken breast in half lengthwise. Chop onion and garlic and set aside.
2. In a bowl whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, and Dijon mustard.
3. Add the rest of the ingredients and whisk well.
4. Pour marinade into a gallon size Ziploc style bag. Place sliced breasts inside bag distributing marinade evenly. Refrigerate for 1-3 hours. The longer you marinade. The more flavorful it will be. Note: to marinate wings. Marinate at least 8 hours or overnight.
5. Heat grill to high. Oil grill with olive oil to prevent sticking.
